Jim is an accomplished commercial lawyer who brings years of litigation and in-house GC experience to his work for clients. Prior to joining Scale, Jim served as GC for two public manufacturing companies in the aerospace and defense sector. In addition to advising the C-suite and board of directors on legal and governance matters, he provided general business counsel, oversaw international, domestic and U.S. Government contracting, managed and mitigated issues relating to contamination at former manufacturing sites, and oversaw activities relating to labor relations, IP strategy, export compliance and securities law compliance. Before law school, Jim worked as a process engineer in the chemical manufacturing industry and as an environmental engineer for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Jim draws on these experiences to provide outside general counsel services for middle market companies in the aerospace and defense sector and other manufacturing industries.
