Joan Wang advises emerging and established biotechnology and technology companies as to intellectual property development and strategic transactions. Joan served as intellectual property and transactional counsel at highly-regarded international law firms and then joined a biotechnology startup to develop its intellectual property program. A registered patent attorney, Joan now focuses her practice on intellectual property procurement, intellectual property and commercial transactions, privacy, and product counseling. Combining technical knowledge, legal expertise, and in-house experience, Joan provides clients with pragmatic, actionable guidance and cost-effectively delivers results.
Joan holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
