Conrad has nearly two decades of experience representing clients in the real estate, banking, insurance and financial services industries, both in private practice and in an in-house capacity. As a partner at an AmLaw 100 law firm, Conrad’s practice focused on a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters, including real estate and property law, banking and consumer finance, insurance coverage and bad faith, franchise litigation, employment, commercial contract disputes, antitrust, unfair competition claims, false advertising and class actions. Conrad is skilled in all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, including pre-litigation counseling, pre-trial law and motion, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appeals. In addition to actively litigating disputes, Conrad effectively managed the extensive national litigation portfolio of several Fortune 500 companies in collaboration with local outside counsel. Prior to Scale LLP, Conrad was General Counsel for an emerging real estate investment and development company where, in addition to managing all litigation, Conrad oversaw real estate procurement and sales transactions, property management, escrow and title advisory issues, asset organization and restructuring, contract negotiations, as well as landlord-tenant disputes. Conrad serves as a trusted advisor, assisting clients in the development of effective risk management strategies to ensure compliance with applicable law and to minimize any interruption to business operations. Conrad was an equity partner at the Los Angeles, California office of Locke Lord LLP.
