Chris represents early-stage companies in the areas of formation, financing, and corporate general counsel. Prior to joining Scale LLP, Chris was an associate at Barbera Corporate Law, a boutique firm in LA focused on building, financing, and scaling startups and social enterprises. Chris is also a 2x co-founder and was an early employee at NLand Surf Park in Austin, Texas. Chris began his legal career as a white collar defense attorney at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in Washington, D.C. Before law school, Chris worked as a news anchor and political journalist in Iowa.
